Sindhu rises to 11th spot in BWF rankings

NEW DELHI: Indian shuttler PV Sindhu climbed a place to be ranked eleven in the women’s singles rankings released by the Badminton World Federation (BWF) today.

Her Compatriot Saina Nehwal retains her World number two spot.

In men’s singles, Kidambi Srikanth and HS Prannoy remained at number nine and number 20 respectively as reigning Commonwealth Games champion Parupalli also rose to 14th spot.

However, Mumbai’s Ajay Jayaram dropped as many as four spots to be ranked 25.

The men’s doubles pair of Manu Attri and B Sumeeth Reddy remained at number 17 while Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa stayed at number 14 in women’s doubles. (AGENCIES)
