JAMMU: Union Minister Jitendra Singh today attacked Congress for not supporting BJP for its action taken against the “anti-national” event at JNU and said the party should join the Government in the war against terrorism.
Replying to a question over the JNU row, Singh said “we expected them (Congress) to be with us rather than on the other side. The support should have been more from their side because the decision to hang Afzal Guru was taken during the UPA Government after due judicial process.”
“Given whatever has happened over the issue of Afzal Guru in the past, Congress should have supported BJP in the war against terrorism because they have lost two Prime Ministers (in the fight against terrorism). We had expected this (support) from them,” he said today.
“Congress should come forward and join us in our campaign and battle against terrorism,” the minister said. (AGENCIES)
