JAMMU, Jan 27: Outplaying Lions Cricket Club Satwari by a big margin of 73 runs in the quarterfinals, Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor entered the semifinals of the ongoing 3rd Ravi Singh Memorial T20 Cricket Tournament at Government HS Satwari, here.
Batting first, Singh Club scored a huge total of 202 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 8 wickets in the process. Sumit was the top scorer with 65 runs, while Rahul and Chander Kiran contributed 48 and 35 runs to the total respectively. For Lions Club, Bakshi was the wrecker-in-chief, who scalped 5 wickets, while Kaka bagged 2 and Hardeep claimed one.
In reply, Lions Cricket Club bundled out for 129 runs, thus lost the match by 73 runs. Sehwag (38), Kaka (22), Bakshi (20) and Romy (15) were the main contributors. For Singh CC, Chander Kiran scalped 4 wickets, while Sonu and Dilawar took 2 wickets each. For his all-round show, Chander Kiran was adjudged man of the match.
The match was officiated by Vijay Choudhary and Danny as umpires, while Hoshiar Singh was the scorer.
