JAMMU, Nov 4: Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor outplayed Media XI by 8 wickets in a low scoring game of the ongoing All India T20 Cricket Championship, being organized by Bhallessa Cricket Club in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council at MA Stadium, here.
Earlier, winning the toss and putting Media XI into bat, SCC Akhnoor bowlers bowled with a nagging line and teasing length to restrict the week Media XI to a paltry score of 55 runs in the stipulated 16 overs. Media XI lost 8 wickets in the process. Faheem Tak top scored with 29 runs off 39 balls, while Vivek Suri contributed 7 runs to the total. None of the other batsmen could do much with the bat against the formidable bowling attack. For Singh Cricket Club, skipper Sham Singh Langeh was the wrecker-in-chief, who took 3 important wickets in his 4 overs, while Binny claimed one wicket.
In reply, Singh Cricket Club, achieved the target easily by losing 2 wickets, thus won the match by 8 wickets. Sunny Mahi scored 26 runs off just 14 balls, while Chandan Kiran contributed 23 runs off 14 balls. Sham Singh Langeh was adjudged as man of the match for his brilliant bowling display.
The match was officiated by Vikas Bali and Dayal Singh as umpires, while Sachin Singh was the scorer.
