JAMMU, Feb 16: Outplaying Singh Challenger Sungal by 44 runs in the semifinal, Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor sealed berth in the finals of the ongoing Police Friendship Cup T20 Cricket Tournament at Country Cricket Academy ground, Gharota near here today.
Winning the toss and batting first, Singh Akhnoor scored a fighting total of 147 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 9 wickets in the process.  Manik Sharma top scored with 58 runs, while Happy and Arjun Chowdhary contributed 30 and 19 runs to the total respectively. From Singh Challenger Sungal, Vinod Kumar took 3 wickets, while Sumit Sharma claimed 2 wickets. Jimmy Mani and Rajesh shared one wicket each.
In reply, Singh Challenger Sungal bundled out for 103 runs to lose the match by 44 runs. Vinod Kumar top scored with 38 runs, while Rajesh Sharma and Koushal contributed 21 and 16 runs to the total respectively. From Singh Akhnoor, Sunil Kumar bagged 4 important wickets, while Sumit Rajpur claimed 2 wickets. Sham Singh Langeh, Sonu Malhotra and Arjun Chowdhary shared one wicket each. Sunil Kumar was adjudged as the man of the match.
The match was officiated by Dayal Singh and Sahil as umpires, while Lakshay was the scorer.
