Singh CC beats NCC by 4 wkts

SAMBA, Apr 3: Singh Cricket Club (Singh CC) Akhnoor trounced NCC Udhampur by 4 wickets in the 1st Amar Devi Cup, being played at Shubam Khajuria Cricket Academy Vijaypur, near here today.
Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor won the toss and decided to bowl first.
Batting first, NCC scored 102 by losing all wickets in 18.1 overs wherein Pankaj made 21 runs, while Paviter scored 32 runs. From the bowling side, Chander Kiran was the wrecker-in-chief who got 6 wickets, while Arush Jamwal took 2 wickets and Binny Kesar bagged 1 wicket.
In reply, Singh CC chased the set target by losing only 6 wickets in 15.3 overs and registered 4 wickets win over NCC Udhampur. Rahul Manni made 26 runs, whereas Robin Verma scored 14 runs and Manik Sharma and Manav Mehta contributed 18 & 11 runs respectively. From the bowling side, Nirvay got 2 wickets and Mandeep clinched 1 wicket.
Chander Kiran was declared as man of the match for his outstanding bowling display during the match. Jitender Singh and Ashok Singh acted as umpires.
