Singh Club, Road Safety XI, Horizon CC enter semis

JAMMU, Jan 15: Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor, Road Safety XI and Horizon Club registered convincing victories to seal berth in the semifinals of the ongoing 6th Road Safety T20 Championship at Parade ground, here.
KC Sports Club has already sealed berth in the last four stage.
The championship is being organized under the supervision of Dr Owais Ahmed, Transport Commissioner, J&K.
In the first match, Singh Club Akhnoor defeated Laxmi Club in an exciting contest by 8 runs.
Batting first, Singh Club scored 90 for the loss of 8 wickets in 12 overs. Sunny and Satish contributed 26 and 25 runs respectively. Govind and Vicky took 3 wickets each, while Sameer Khajuria bagged 2 wickets.
In reply, Laxmi Club scored 82 runs for 6 wickets in 12 overs. Sunny top scored with 25 runs. Satish took 3 wickets, while Sunny and Sham claimed 1 wicket each. Satish was declared as the man of the match.
In another match, Road Safety XI defeated Secretariat XI by 30 runs.
Batting first, Road Safety scored 90 runs for 5 wickets in 12 overs. Pankaj top scored with 37 runs, while Ishtiaq and RK Bhat contributed 18 and unbeaten 13 runs respectively. Asif took 2 wickets while Aijaz and Tehsin took 1 wicket each.
In reply Secretariat XI managed to score 60 runs for 9 wickets in 12 overs. RK Bhat was the wrecker-in-chief, who took 4 important wickets, while Shashi bagged 2. RK Bhat was declared as the man of the match for his all-round show.
In another match Horizon Club defeated Vishal Club by 38 runs.
Batting first, Horizon scored 111 runs, while in reply Vishal Club managed to score 73 runs.
