JAMMU, Sept 21: Singhpora Sports Club drubbed Uplina Sports Club in an easy contest by five goals to one (5-1) in the ongoing Annual District Senior Hockey Tournament, being organized by Hockey J&K at Government Degree College, Baramulla.
Singhpora Club, dominated the game from the word go as Jatinder Pal Singh scored a splendid goal in 9th minute and followed it with another one in 27th minute of the match. For Singhpora Club, third goal was scored by Simranjeet Singh in 35th minute, which was followed by a tricky goal from Uplina Club netted by Amrik Singh via penalty corner in 44th minute of the match. Then two more goals from Ali Mohd and Mohd Hussain in 49th and 58th minutes of the match respectively helped Singhpora Club to script a big (5-1) win.
The match was officiated by a penal of experts including Rajinder Singh Junior, Maninder Singh, Parmeet Singh and Rambir Singh.
In the next match, Bikram Sports Club, Baramulla will take on Mohammadan XI at 4:30 pm at the same venue on Monday.
