JAMMU, Apr 21: First J&K Table Soccer Championship, being organised by J&K Table Soccer Association at Dewan Devi Higher Secondary School, Rajpura concluded today.
On the second and concluding day of the championship, Janvi of Army Public School secured first position, while the second and third positions were claimed by Garima Sharma of GD Goenka Public School and Ashima Sharma of Army Public School respectively in under 10 years girls singles category, whereas, in pro-singles category, Vanshika and Tanvi, both from GD Goenka Public School claimed first and second positions respectively, while, Tania of Dewan Devi School claimed third position.
Rakshita Jamwal of Anizone Medow Angles, Manvi of Shangrila Public School and Divya of Delhi Public School emerged winners in under 14 singles event, whereas, in pro-singles category, Malvika Kapoor and Arushi, both from GD Goenka Public School secured first and second positions respectively, while the third rank was claimed by Shifali of Dewan Devi School.
In under 12 years singles (boys), Vikram of DPS, Janu of DBN School and Sushant Gupta of KC International School emerged winners, whereas, in pro-singles category, Ayush Parihar of GD Goenka Public School claimed first position, while Satyam of Jodhamal Public School and Swastik Vaid of KC International claimed second and third positions respectively.
In under 13 years (boys), Dakshjeet of GD Goenka Public School, Sushant Gupta of Tagore School and Sarvagya Sharma of KC International claimed first, second and third positions respectively, whereas, in pro-singles category, Vansaej Sharma of GD Goenka School bagged first position, while the second and third positions were secured by Joginder Singh of Tagore School and Akhilesh Kumar of Shangrila School.
In under 14 boys, Sourav Khatri of Dewan Devi School claimed first position, while Rajinder Singh of DPS and Reshav Gupta of KC International School bagged second and third positions respectively in singles category, whereas, in pro-singles category, Abhram of GD Goenka Public School bagged first position, while the second and third positions were secured by Manik of BSF School and Arya Gupta of Shangrila Public School.
In under 17 years boys category, Govind Sharma of GD Goenka Public School, Ashutosh Sharma of KV International and Rahul Kumar of SMS School bagged first, second and third positions respectively.
On the valedictory function, Shiv Dev Singh, Ex-MLA was the chief guest, who distributed prizes among the winners in presence of SC Suri, Chairman, Dewan Devi Higher Secondary School, Amrik Singh Chib, BJP leader, Rahul Jamwal, President, J&K Table Soccer Association, Ashwani Suri, organizing secretary, Rohit Sadotra, treasurer, Sanjeev Gupta and Ranjeet Singh.
The matches were officiated by Komal Gupta, Ravinder Singh and Kawaljeet Singh.
