JAMMU, Dec 3: Shaurya International School (SIS) celebrated its Annual Day at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium, Jammu.
Former Union Minister and Chief Minister, Jammu and Kashmir, Ghulam Nabi Azad was present as the chief guest. Harinder Mahajan, Chairman, School Management Committee, Sahil Mahajan, Vice-Chairman, besides Trustees Uma Gupta, Kusum Gupta, Pooja Mahajan and Miho Mahajan were also present on the occasion.
The commencement of the event unfolded with a reverential tribute, marked by a floral homage, to the visionaries Late Janak Raj Gupta and Late Sneh Gupta, the founders of the institution.
Principal, Dr Rajesh Gandral presented an annual school report by highlighting student’s accomplishments and outlined goals for the development of the institution. Main attraction of the celebration was a captivating cultural extravaganza that showcased the rich tapestry of cultural diversity.
Alongside the felicitation of outstanding performers, a special mention was accorded to the best house of the session 2023-2024, which emerged as Prerna House under the capable leadership of Anju Slathia.
Ghulam Nabi Azad acknowledged Shaurya International School as a prominent institution in Jammu, attributing its remarkable success to the commendable efforts of the dedicated teaching staff. Harinder Mahajan, Chairman of the School Management Committee, emphasized in his speech that the quality of education reflects a State’s progress, underscoring Shaurya International School’s commitment to providing top-notch education. Sahil Mahajan highlighted SIS as a hub for well-rounded success in extracurricular activities and academic excellence.
