Six injured in separate road mishaps

JAMMU, Oct 17: Six persons were injured today in separate road mishaps in city and its outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, two youth identified as Punit (25) son of Ashok Kumar, resident of GharI (Udhampur) and Ravi (28) son of Bansi Lal, resident of Khiramchi (Udhampur), were injured when the bike on which they were travelling, was hit by a truck at Jhajjar Kotli.
A bike-borne man identified as Partap Singh (45) son of Sadhu Ram, resident of Tonjke (Jourian) sustained injuries when the bike he was riding on, rammed into a Tanga in Tonjke area of Jourian.
A van hit a bike and injured its rider namely Rohit Sharma (26) son of Ramesh Sharma, resident of Patoli Brahmana in Domana area, near Muthi Camp.
A man identified as Vipin Gupta (45) son of Shiv Kumar Gupta, resident of Mastgarh (Jammu) got injured when the scooty on which he was travelling, was hit by a Qualis car near DC office Jammu.
A pedestrian identified as Partap Singh (38) son of Ram Singh, resident of Himachal Pradesh, at president residing in KB School, Sainik Colony, was hit and injured by an unknown vehicle at Sainik Colony.
All the injured were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for treatment. In all cases, the concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter.
