SKS extends full support to protesting KPs

JAMMU, Oct 8: Sampooran Kashmir Sangathan (SKS) fully supported the demands of Kashmiri Pandits sitting on hunger strike at Jagti and the KP youth protesting at Jammu.
In a statement SKS general secretary, Bharat Kachroo today said that every Government whether State or Centre has always ignored Kashmiri Pandits and have made their life miserable. He said that SKS fully supported the demands of KPs sitting on hunger strike at Jagti and protesting in front of Press Club at Jammu.
He warned the Government that demands like pending list of employees should be immediately addressed, monthly relief be increased to Rs 25000 to a family, bifurcation of families, compensation for over aged youth of community as well as compensation for losses suffered since 1990, benefits under Ayushman Bharat, medical scheme should be immediately implemented, soft loans be given to over-aged and traders so that they can start their self employment to feed their families. Government should also ensure jobs for every youth of exile community, he demanded.
Kachroo said that SKS welcomed the proposal of settlement of KPs in multiple satellite colonies in Valley with fool proof facilities and 24×7 security.
Meanwhile the hunger strike of Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) at Jagti entered 7th day today under the chairmanship of Piaraey Lal.
Samajwadi Party Migrant Cell president, Inder Ji Labroo also participated in the hunger strike and extended his support. Shadi Lal Pandita president JTC accused the Government of total callousness towards the community saying no officer from UT administration bothered to visit the venue of hunger strike in last one week to talk to them.
