SKUAST-TAJ discusses demands

JAMMU, Feb 8: In its 18th consecutive meeting held today here at Main Campus Chatha, SKUAST-Teaching Association Jammu (SKUAST-TAJ) discussed various demands and issues pertaining to teachers.
Dr Vikas Sharma, president, SKUAST-TAJ, chaired the meeting, in which several agendas pertaining to the Registrar office were discussed. Dr Vikas announced in the meeting that University has initiated the process for the institution of Dr Arun Gupta Memorial Gold Medal in the Division of Vegetable Sciences for which the money has been deposited with the Comptroller Office.
The meeting resolved to address the release of pending advance increments in favour of incumbents who have joined University with higher qualification. The house appealed to the Vice Chancellor to look personally into the functioning of Registrar office as many important agendas pertaining to the welfare of teaching fraternity have not been resolved by the registry from the last one year.
Dr Vivek M Arya, general secretary, stressed for displaying of up to date statutes of the varsity on website and for the preparation of the inter-se-seniority list among all cadres of the teaching staff. Speedy disposal of genuine transfer cases and few other issues were also discussed.
