JAMMU, Sept 8: Trikuta Nagar Welfare Society (TNWS) has reiterated its demand of slashing the fee of free hold rights in favour of residents of Trikuta Nagar Colony, Jammu.
In a meeting of the Association held today under the chairmanship of Rajinder P Kakkar, president, Trikuta Nagar Welfare Society, the members observed that the authorities have adopted delay tactics regarding slashing of fee of free hold rights in the favour of the residents of Trikuta Nagar Colony.
The members in one voice appealed KK Sharma, Advisor to Governor to issue directions to the Commissioner/ Secretary, Urban Development Department for issuing notification in this regard as he had agreed in his first meeting with TNWS deputation that the fees of free hold rights should be acceptable by the residents of Trikuta Nagar as they are retired pensioners and they have paid rent of land and cost of land at the time of allotments.
The Society further urged the Advisor to fix the same fee to regularize the extra land which is already in the possession of adjoining plot holder and also create digital portal for same process so that residents can apply on line to avoid the corruption practice.
The meeting was attended by Ashok Kumar Arora (patron TNWS), SN Kaul, Vijay Gupta, Amarjeet Singh, Harshvardhan Gupta, Dr TR Gupta, Vijay Sharma, Raj Pal and SK Nanda.
