SAMBA, Apr 7:  J&K BJP vice president and former Minister, Surjeet Singh Slathia today lauded the role of private schools in the spread of quality education and exuded confidence that their efforts would help achieve higher levels of quality literacy, especially in the rural areas.
Speaking as chief guest on the opening of ‘The Maple Kids’ at Sarore Upper Talab Mohalla, opposite Jammu Farms, Slathia said: “After having undergone tough times due to pandemic, it is heartening to see educational institutions opening up for normal academic activities and the addition of new facilities like this is a welcome step.”
He expressed happiness on being informed by the management that professional teachers are being engaged in the play way school, keeping in view the requirements of the pre-school children. Slathia called for close synergy between the teachers and parents, saying this is necessary for monitoring the overall growth of the children at the threshold of their entry into the academic environment.
He lauded growing consciousness and responsibility among parents about the upbringing and education of their children, saying this is bound to lay a lasting imprint on their wards. “Provision of quality education to the upcoming generations with special emphasis on the coverage of the children of weaker segments of society is a noble contribution,” he asserted.
