JAMMU, Aug 20: GDC Akhnoor and GGM Science College organised online inter-collegiate competitions on different topics for students.
Department of Botany, GDC Akhnoor held national level online collage making competition on the theme “Know your plant diversity” under the supervision of College Principal, Dr Namarta.
The students from different institutions of J&K UT as well as from other States participated.
Sapna Mankotia of GCW Gandhi Nagar, Jammu and Anu Sharma of GDC Akhnoor shared 1st position, whereas 2nd position was shared by Tahir Mustafa of Aligarh Muslim University and Priya Sharma of GDC Akhnoor and 3rd position was shared by Sakshi Raina of Cluster University of Jammu and Mannat Sharma of GDC Akhnoor. E-certificates were awarded to the participants.
College Principal appreciated Prof Indeevar Chanyal, convener and HoD Botany and Prof Yogesh Sharma, organising secretary for organizing this event.
Activity Club of GGM Science College Jammu celebrated Akshay Urja Day by organising an online inter-collegiate slogan writing competition on the theme “100 percent renewable energy isn’t a dream, it’s an achievable reality” under the guidance of College Principal, Dr Ravender Tickoo.
About 50 students from different colleges participated. The first prize was bagged by Aanish Badrala School of Sciences, Cluster University of Jammu, 2nd prize was clinched by Purvi Magotra, GGM Science College whereas 3rd prize was shared by Neha Sharma of GCoE Jammu, Lucky Choudhary and Vishali Rajput of GGM Science College.
The entire event was coordinated by Dr Deepali Mahajan, convenor of the Club along with others member of the Club including Dr Anjana Sharma, Prof Anju Kumari, Dr Iesha Sharma, Prof Akanksha Parihar, Prof Davinder Singh and Prof Pankaj Mansotra.
