Srinagar, Nov 27: Keeping in view the repeated violations in terms of illegal constructions in the city, the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) has formed task force teams that have been directed to keep a check on such violations in Srinagar.
As per an order issued by the Commissioner, SMC the task force has been directed to act sternly against such violations that have been reported to have occurred in the city.
The order said that it has been reported that certain miscreants are trying to violate the law by indulging in illegal and unauthorized constructions in the city which cannot be tolerated at any cost.
“To check and curb any such illegal and unauthorized constructions in the city, a special drive against the unauthorized and illegal constructions shall be undertaken by the following task force teams headed by the Joint Commissioner,” the order reads.
As per the order, Joint Commissioner (R), Executive Engineer Right, Chief Enforcement Officer, AEE Estates, Zonal Enforcement Officer (East) and ATP (Right) have been kept in Task Force team-1 and have been directed to keep a check on the violations in municipal ward Palpora, Qamerwari, Bemina, Parimpora, Maloora, Khumani Chowk, Batamaloo, Chanapora, Hyderpora, Humham, Pantha Chowk and Baghi Mehtab.
Team 2 consisting of Joint Commissioner (S), Executive Engineer (Left), Chief Revenue Officer, Mushtaq Ahmad Nowshehri (AEE), Anti Polythene Officer, Zonal Enforcement Officer (North) and ATP left have been directed to keep a check in municipal ward Brien, Dal, Hawal, Madeen Bagh, Lal Bazar, Hazratbal. Batapora, Zakura, Umer Hier, Soura and Nowshera.
Team 3 consisting of Joint Commissioner Planning, Executive Engineer Electric, Chief Anti-Encroachment Officer, Nisar Ahmad Wangnoo AEE, Estate Officer Zonal Enforcement Officer (West & South) and TPA Left have been directed to keep a check in municipal ward Lal Chowk, Rainawari, Nai Sadak, Zaina Kadal, Khanyar, Makdoom Sahib, Safa Kadal, Jamalatta, Islamyarbal, Karan Nagar, Magarmal Bagh and Jawahar Nagar.
