Srinagar, Nov 1: Srinagar Municipal Corporation has served notices to leading food establishments in Srinagar to improve their surrounding sanitation, and hygiene of the workers within seven days or face action.
In a statement, SMC said its Public Health Wing has served notices to the leading food establishments, Shakti Sweets, Mughal Darbar, Modern Sweets and Hollywood Bakery.
“The notices have directed the establishments to improve their sanitary conditions within seven days or else action under the relevant provision of FSS Act 2006 shall be initiated against the owner of the establishments which may mean fine of Rs 1 lakh or imprisonment including sealing of their premises,” the statement said.
