New Delhi, Sept 19:
The Border Security Force Wives Welfare Association (BWWA), an organization “of Women for Women” is vigorously working towards the welfare, empowerment and advancement of women.
The Association celebrated BWWA Day at Ashwini Officers Mess of BSF, Nizamuddin, New Delhi.
Smriti Zubin Irani, Minister for Human Resource Development was the chief guest and graced the occasion in the presence of Renu Sharma, president BWWA and all member of BWWA Committee.
During the celebration, Mrs Irani, facilitated the widows of BSF deceased personnel and distributed gifts to disabled children of BSF wards. She also distributed flood relief material to the representatives of BSF Kashmir Frontier for handing over to the flood affected people in Kashmir.
During the occasion, the chief guest also commended the organization for ensuring various welfare activities in Border Security Force and said, “BSF is a versatile force and BSF personnel are playing a vital role in the Security of the country and BWWA has undertaken the important role of the upliftment and welfare of families of BSF”.
