JAMMU, Aug 4: In its endeavour to promote sports in Jammu, Shiv Mandir Sant Sewa Ashram (SMSSA) Charitable Trust distributed tracksuits among the promising and needy athletes, here today.
The Trust organised an impressive and well attended function in premises of Mandir at Railway Station, here.
President of the Trust, Shiv Pratap Gupta inaugurated the function and welcomed the athletes and the guests. He promised to support the athletes in future also.
He also wished good luck to the Jammu Athletes Club for their upcoming event ‘Jammu Half Marathon’.
Parbhat Singh, retired IPS Officer and gold medallist in Tata Mumbai Marathon conducted the proceedings of the function and encouraged the athletes to do well in their life and bring laurels to the State.
Retired SAI coach, Ramesh Sharma extended thanks to Shiv Mandir Trust for this gesture.
Prominent among other members of the Trust present on the occasion were YR Gupta, KK Pangotra, Vishwamittra, BB Vaid, Krishanan Kutty and Ashok Gupta.
