POONCH, June 25: The police arrested a drugs smuggler and recovered about 500 grams charas from his possession in Mendhar area today.
Official sources said that in order to check the smuggling of drugs, while carrying forward the special drive, a police party from Police Station Mendhar led by SHO Sajjad Mir, nabbed a person during naka checking at Sangala Chowk and recovered nearly 500 gms of Charas (44 challis) from his vehicle bearing registration No. JK21 A-4907.
The narcotics was seized on spot by the police party and person namely, Raza Ahmad son of Abdul Hamid, a resident of Malikpur, Gohlad was taken into custody. In this connection a case FIR No. 99/2019 u/s 8/15/21 NDPS Act was registered and investigation started.
