REASI, Mar 12: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra ‘Bhangra’ team won 1st runner-up position at a competitive dance event held as part of the Annual Techno Cultural Fest, ANHAD-24 organized by IIT Jammu.
Bhangra Hood, the bhangra team of BCA (Board of Cultural Activities) of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra bagged 1st Runner-up position in the event. The team was accompanied by the cultural coordinator BCA, Dr Ankush Raina and Hostel supervisor, Suneha Sharma.
The team comprising Achint Raj, Manpreet Singh, Manmohan Singh, Sharanveer Singh, Antriksha Rathore, Stuti, Samriti Bharadwaj, and Hargun Kour showcased their dedication and exceptional talent on the stage. Bhangra Hood’s success at Groove Troops marks a significant milestone in their journey.
Under the leadership of Dr Rakesh Kumar (President, BCA), Dr Kamni Pathania (Vice-President, BCA), Dr Ankush Raina (Coordinator, BCA) and Dr Rahul (Coordinator, BCA) the team has excelled in their endeavours. Prof. (Dr.) Pragati Kumar, Vice Chancellor SMVDU appreciated the team for representing SMVDU at a National Platform.
