JAMMU, Jan 9: Displaying extraordinary soccer skills, motor-ability, team combination and making brilliant moves, SMVD University won its opening tie in the ongoing North Zone Inter-University Football Tournament, being organised by Amiety University Noida at Varsity ground.
The team scored 3 brilliant goals against Maharishi Markandeshwar University in an easy contest to register a big win. First two goals were scored in the first half by Rubail Charak and Navdeep Jamwal in 12th and 28th minutes respectively, while the third goal was netted by Sourav Pandey in the 38th minute of the match. The tournament is being organised by Amiety University, under aegis of Association of Indian Universities.
In the next match SMVDU will take on the winner of the match between Chaudhary Charan Singh University and GB Pant University.
