Socio-economic development of people prime concern of Govt: Lone

BANDIPORA, Aug 29: Minister for Higher Education, Mohammad Akbar Lone today urged upon the officers to work with compassion, sincerity and dedication while implementing developmental projects and welfare schemes launched by the Government, so that deserving and needy people are benefited to the maximum. He said socio-economic development and dignified life of the people all across the State is the prime concern of the Government.
The Minister was addressing Awami-Darbar convened to assess the pace and progress of the developmental works being executed in the Chandergiri, Safapora and Hakbura areas of Sonawari Constituency at Chandergiri village here today.
Mr. Lone enjoined upon officers to provide better delivery system and monitor the execution of all works on ground practically. He directed the officers of PHE to speed up the pace of on-going works and complete the process of interior distribution of water supply, so that people of the area do not suffer for the want of drinking water, besides, directed them to expedite Hakbura-Chandergiri water supply scheme at an earliest.
The Minister also enjoined upon the officers of R&B to take up the necessary process of road connectivity besides, repairs as well as macadamization work in close coordination with other departments and take up the work for the connectivity of road from Chandigri to Chewa. He directed the officers of Irrigation Department to make necessary project for better irrigation and dewatering facilities in the area on priority.
Mr. Lone stressed upon the officers to utilize the funds judiciously with transparency and adhere the proper guidelines while implementing various welfare schemes launched by the Government so that needy and deserving populace is benefited. He also directed for holding awareness camps in far flung areas regarding the RDD and Health schemes, so that maximum benefit of such schemes reaches to the deserving and needy.
