JAMMU, July 14: Sofia Jangral resident of Basi Kalan, Bari Brahmana shined in ‘Virat Kavi Sammelan’ competition by securing first position, organised by Sahitya Sadhana and Lok Seva Manch wherein 28 poets from different States participated.
Babli Kumari of Bihar stood 2nd, whereas Tania of Hiranagar clinched 3rd prize during the competition.
Sofia Jangral has been awarded with meritorious certificate along with cash prize Rs 500 for her outstanding performance by the dignitaries of the event. The Kavi Sammelan was organised under the chairmanship of renowned poet, Upendra Fatehpuri.
Sofia expressed her gratitude to 11,000 people who have linked and shared her poems.
