Soldier Group of Institutions announces scholarships for J&K students

JAMMU, May 20: North India’s leading education provider group S. Soldier Group of Institutions, Jalandhar, today announced Young Scholars Reward Scheme (YSRS) for the students from Jammu and Kashmir.
Talking to the media persons, Prof Manhar Arora, Managing Director said that Young Scholars Reward Scheme is specifically introduced to provide higher education to all deserving students.
“Under YSRS we will select hundred students from the region of Jammu & Kashmir and they will be given concessions upto 100 percent for their studies at St Soldier Group of Institutions,” he added.
While mentioning the criteria, Prof Manhar Arora said “St. Soldier Group will provide absolutely free education to 10 students, 75 percent fee concession to 20 students, 50 percent fee concession to 30 students and 25 percent fee concession to 40 students. “Students for all categories that include General, SC/ST, BC/OBC who are deserving and willingness to get higher education can avail this scheme by applying online,” he said.
Further, Prof Arora announced that St Soldier Group of Institutions will not charge any fee from the SC/ST/ST/OBC and minority classes under the eligibility of post metric scholarships offered by the Government.
“Apart from these benefits as a mission to provide education to all, chairman Anil Chopra and vice chairperson Sangeeta Chopra have introduces the Master Raj Kanwar Chopra Scholarships of Rs one crore. These Scholarships are available for all the students aspiring to get education in St Soldier Group of Institutions,” Prof Arora informed.
“We will offer scholarships from 25 percent to 100 percent to all those students who would secure marks between 65 percent and 100 percent in their qualifying exams, for the courses like B Tech, MBA, MCA, BBA, BCA, Polytechnic Diploma, B Sc Media, Bachelor in Physiotherapy. B Pharma and B Sc. in Hotel Management,” he added.
Prof Arora said that last year more than 200 students from Jammu and Kashmir got financial benefits from St Soldier Group of Institutions scholarships. At present more than 34000 students are acquiring educations in 50 institutions of St Soldier Group of Institution.
