SRINAGAR, Oct 22: Sopore police inaugurated Sports Festival-2020 under Civic Action Programme at Khushal Sports Stadium Sopore, here today.
The event was inaugurated by Suleman Choudhary, DIG NKR Baramulla. The inaugural match of Cricket was played between Sydicate-XI and Sopore Strikers while the Volleyball match was played between Zaingeer-XI and Sopore Police and Football match was played between Khushal Tulibal Sopore and Janwara Football Club.
Commander 5-Sector RR, Javaid Iqbal-JKPS SSP Sopore, CO 22-RR and other senior Police officers were also present during the inaugural function.
The chief guest while interacting with the players and other audience said that J&K Police has started sports activities across the J&K UT with the sole aim to provide best platform to the youths, so that they can excel their talent in their respective sports activity.
In this event 100 Cricket teams, 32 Football teams and 32 Volleyball teams are participating.
