SOS Hermann Gmeiner School celebrates Annual Day

JAMMU, Nov 9:  SOS Hermann Gmeiner School Jammu celebrated 11th Annual Day function in the school premises with traditional fervour and gaiety.
Rakesh Gupta, President, Chamber of Commerce & Industries, Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion.
The function was attended by large number of distinguished parents and other guests. Principal R K Dhar welcomed the chief guest. The program began with the traditional lighting  ceremony followed by presentation of bouquets and  Saraswati  Vandana.
On this occasion the students presented a variety of cultural items like dance, qawali, bangra and other theme based presentations. Earlier, Principal R K Dhar presented Annual Report of the school.
The chief guest gave away certificates and medals to the students who excelled in academics, sports and other areas. Tawi House was awarded the best House Trophy.
Speaking on the occasion the chief guest laid down stress on development of moral values which is essential in present scenario as society is changing rapidly. He also laid creating of corporate club by the students to help poor and needy ones. He also appreciated the talent of the students for their splendid display of various items.
The Principal presented mementoes to the chief guest and Geeta Bhan presented vote of thanks and the program concluded with the singing of National Anthem.
