JAMMU, Oct 14: Inter HGS Sports Meet was held in SOS Hermann Gmeiner School (HGS), Jammu, in which all seven Hermann Gmeiner Schools of India participated.
The program began with the lighting of ceremonial lamp by principal of host school, RK Dhar, followed by presentation of some cultural items by the students.
Later, the principal declared the event open by lighting the Mashal. Each school participated in different events like 200 m race, long jump, high jump, carom, table tennis, chess, badminton, etc.
In Junior Category, HGS Varanasi emerged winner while HGS Faridabad was the first Runner-up. In Sub-Junior Category, HGS Varanasi again bagged 1st position while HGS Faridabad remained 1st Runner-up. In Senior Category, HGS Jammu claimed 1st position while HGS Bhimtal was the Runner-up.
The principal, RK Dhar gave away certificates and medals to winners.
