JAMMU, Aug 23: The cueists displayed exemplary skills on the second day of the ongoing 1st Jammu District Open 6 Red Ball Championship, being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Billiards and Snooker Association at Billiards Hall, MA Stadium, here today.
In the first round of 1st Jammu District Open 6 Red Ball Championship, cueists had a great difficulty to mark win over their opponents as the level of the competition was too high.
In the first match of the day, Sourav Dogra defeated Aman Choudhary by straight 3-0 frames. In the first frame, Sourav registered win over Aman by 36-09 points and in the second and third frames, Sourav maintained supremacy over Aman by 49-11 and 31-04 points and won the match.
In the second match, Gurjeev Singh defeated Abhinab Sharma by 3-1 frames. Abhinav won the first frame by 57-0 points, while Gurjeev equalized the game by winning the second frame by 25-17. in the third frame, Gurjeev registered win by 34-27 points and continued the winning pace and won the fourth frame by 42-06 points.
Sabi defeated Kashif in the third match by 3-2 frames. In the first frame, Sabi registered win over Kashif by 57-28 points, while Kashif equalized the game by winning the second frame by 33-22. In the third frame, Sabi outplayed Kashif by 29-16. The game was again equalized by Kashif by winning the fourth frame by 36-26. In the fifth and decider frame, Sabi registered win over Kashif by 36-30 and won the match.
In the fourth match, Furkan Wani smashed Nouman by straight 3-0 by winning the frames by 24-15, 31-17 and 46-0 points, whereas in the fifth match, Abhishek Pathania emerged winner, who outclassed Happy Singh by 3-0 frames.
In the sixth match, Rizwan beat Rohit Sharma by 3-1 frames. Rizwan won the first and second frame by 45-22 and 51-24 points. Rohit Sharma registered win in the third frame by 28-19, but lost the fourth frame by 40-36 and paved way to Rizwan to enter in the next round of the tournament.
In the seventh match, Shubham Dubey registered win over Charanpreet Singh by 3-1 frames. The first and second frames were won by Shubham by 29-19 and 55-28 points, while Charanpreet Singh won the third frame by 35-20. In the fourth frame, Shubham registered win over Charanpreet by 35-30 points and sailed into the next stage of the tournament.
Vipin beat Aditya in the eighth match by straight 3-0 frames (42-11, 35-22 and 50-20), whereas in the ninth match, Sharan Dev Singh registered win over Rajat Gandral by 3-0 frames (41-31, 54-10 and 49-14).
In the tenth match, Ankush outplayed Usmaan by straight 3-0 frames (35-15, 30-17 and 29-24), whereas in the eleventh and last match of the day, Ishan Chowdhary beat Asim by 3-0 frames (36-25, 36-16 and 54-20).
