Soz approaches PM for release of Kashmiri youth

SRINAGAR, Apr 30: PCC president Prof Saif-ud-din Soz has approached the Prime Minister for seeking release of two Kashmiri youth re-arrested by Delhi police in a case.
In a press statement issued today, Prof Soz an MP from Kashmir said that Prime Minister has asked the Union Home Minister to look into the matter for which he has approached him. The Congress MP said that he had written a letter to the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh recently apprising him of the matter.
The Prime Minister was told that about the atrocious behaviour of the Delhi Police which re-arrested two Kashmiri youth Mirza Nisar Hussain and Mohd Ali Bhat of Srinagar. These youth had been incarcerated for 16 years in jail. Delhi High Court had declared them innocent and asked for their immediate release.
The PCC chief claimed that in a complaint with Dr Manmohan Singh he has sought immediate release of these two Kashmiri youth and the PM has assured that matter has been referred to the Union Home Minister to re-consider.
