JAMMU, June 28: National Cadet Corps (NCC) of the SP Smart School participated in an Annual Training Camp (ATC) at Nagrota, here today. The camp was organized at camping ground Nagrota between June 19 to 28 June in which various associated schools and colleges participated. Training activities such as drill field, map reading, (FCBC) field craft and battle craft, obstacle training, weapon training were organized to impart holistic training to the cadets. The cadets had a glimpse of armed forces skills. In addition, cadets were also exposed to disaster management activities conducted under the aegis of Civil Defense Jammu and by the Narcotic Department on drug abuse. Over 500 NCC cadets and NCC Staff participated with full fervor.
SP Smart Cadets were grouped in Delta Company and accordingly reflected their best performance. The Group leader Daksh Sharma took the lead by initiating the team participates in both theory and practical sessions. All the 20 Cadets were appreciated for their outstanding performance in the camp by securing 1st position in a Volleyball match in which Delta Company (Students of SP Smart School) defeated Charlie Company (College Level Students). The Cadet, Amit Singh of Class 12 Non-Medical was declared Man of the Match (Gold Medal). The Delta team was also declared winners in Tug of War, which was composed of Krish Saini, Udhay Saini, Ansh Jamwal, Danish Sharma, Ashish Modi, and Sameer sharma.
Cadets also showcased their talent in cultural activities. Prizes and certificates were given to outstanding cadets in each activity. Colonel Ram Madhukar felicitated Students with the winner trophies.
