JAMMU, Apr 4: Chief Executive Councilor Rigzin Spalbar along with Minister for Urban Development Nawang Rigzin Jora met Minister for Youth Affairs and Sport, Taj Mohi-ud-Din and sought Government’s recommendation for Rs 7 crore indoor stadium project of Leh, which was already submitted by the LAHDC to Ministry of Sports, Government of India.
Taj Mohi-ud-Din gave assurance to submit Government’s recommendation to the Central Government immediately.
Later, Rigzin Spalbar along with CEC Kargil, Kacho Ahmed Ali Khan called on the Ladakh Affairs Minister Abdul Rahim Rather and urged to move a special circular at Directorate level ordering not to interfere in transfer matter at Council level. Both CECs apprised the Minister that transfer and adjustment apart from the HoD level comes under the Council’s ambit saying that frequent interference in this matter at directorate level often creates confusion and obstacle in administrative as well as developmental affairs of Leh and Kargil districts.
Rather assured to look into the matter and committed to intervene in this important matter.
Meanwhile, in a meeting with Principal Secretary, Planning and Development, BR Sharma, Spalbar urged for taking early action in creation of 34 different posts in Ladakh Renewable Energy Development Agency (LREDA) for which the LAHDC has already submitted proposal as per the provision of the scheme.
CEC also urged for Government’s intervention in releasing Rs 5 crore Central share for the work done under AIBP schemes in Leh district as LAHDC has received only Rs 55 lakh State share.
