Srinagar, June 7: Speaker of Legislative Assembly Kavinder Gupta today directed the Government to give report about providing of employment to a sportsperson from Jammu.
The issue was raised in the Question-Hour by Congress MLA from Inderwal, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori alleging that despite direction from the chair Chayan Singh, who won medals at national and international level, has not been provided employment by the Government.
Speaker Kavinder Gupta directed the Government to report about the action taken on the earlier directions from the chair to provide employment to Singh since he has won various medals in national and international tournaments. Give report by tomorrow, the Speaker directed the Government.
Speaker said that Government has neglected Fencing sport when State has got 10 international and 30 national medals in it.
