JAMMU, June 4: Speaker, Legislative Assembly Kavinder Gupta today visited Gadi Garh and adjoining areas to take first hand appraisal of the problems and demands of the people. He also took stock of the ongoing development works in these areas.
The residents of the area demanded upgradation of lanes and drains, uninterrupted power and water supply, blacktopping of various link roads besides other demands.
Speaker assured the people of timely resolution of their genuine demands and grievances and also directed the concerned officers accompanying him to take up the issues on priority.
He impressed upon the officers to work with zeal and dedication and aware the masses about various centrally and State sponsored schemes so that benefits of these schemes reached the grassroot level.
Kavinder Gupta also highlighted the welfare programmes and initiatives being taken by the Government and exhorted upon people to avail maximum benefit of these schemes.
