RAMBAN, Oct 22: Rakesh Magotra, Special Secretary, Youth Services and Sports Department inaugurated competitions being conducted under Jan Abhiyan programme, the preparatory programme of Back to Village -4 in District Ramban, hre today.
Chief guest, Rakesh Magotra was accompanied by Incharge Activity District Youth Serviced and Sports Office Ramban, Arun Kumar Sharma, Bharat Singh (PET), PRIs and other field staff members. He inaugurated the competitions of Boxing (Boys/Girls) all age groups, under the banner of Jan Abhiyan at Panchyat Govindpura Maitra A.
Over 50 players from different schools of zone Ramban of Ramban district took part in the competition.
While speaking on the occasion, Mr Magotra appreciated district Ramban for conducting the event in a most befitting manner.
He also encouraged the participants on the occasion.
He said games and sports help in overall personality development of an individual, adding that sports serve for delight, for ornament and for agility.
