SPMR College of Commerce emerges overall winner in Inter-Collegiate Swimming Championship

JAMMU, Sept 1: SPMR College of Commerce emerged overall winner in the Inter-Collegiate Swimming Championship for men, organized by Directorate of Sports and Physical Education at MA Stadium, here today.
In the Championship seven colleges–Government Degree College (GDC) Rajouri, ASCOMS, GDC Samba, SPMR College of Commerce, GGM Science College, Government MAM College and PG Department of University of Jammu took part.
On the occasion, Aijaz Malik, Tanvir Ahmed from GDC Rajouri, Dr Vinod Bakshi, Raj Kumar from ASCOMS, Balbir Singh, Vikas Magotra, Swimming Coach, Raj Kumar Bakshi, Incharge Swimming and Jai Bharat were present.
In 100 meters Free Style, Devansh Suri from SPMR College of Commerce, Nadeem Ahmad from PG Department and Anuj Gupta from ASCOMS secured first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in 200 meters Free Style, Vishesh Jamwal from SPMR College of Commerce, Mithlesh Wanchoo from ASCOMS and Rakesh Kumar from GDC Samba clinched first, second and third positions respectively.
In 100 meters Back Stroke, Vishesh Jamwal from SPMR College of Commerce and Chetan from GDC Samba bagged first and second positions respectively, whereas in 200 meters Back Stroke, Devansh Suri from ASCOMS emerged winner.
In 100 meters Breast Stroke, Chetan Sharma from GDC Samba, Rajan Jasrotia from PG Department and Anuj Gupta from ASCOMS emerged first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in 200 meters Breast Stroke, Hardik Khajuria from SPMR College of Commerce, Chetan Sharma from GDC Sambaa and Rajan Jasrotia from PG Department claimed first, second and third positions respectively.
In 100 meters Butterfly, Mithlesh Wanchoo from ASCOMS and Shantanu Gupta from SPMR College of Commerce bagged first and second positions respectively, whereas in 50 meters Free Style, Hardik Khajuria from SPMR College of Commerce, Mithlesh Wanchoo from ASCOMS and Ram Singh from GDC Rajouri bagged first, second and third positions respectively.
