SPMR College organizes awareness programme on drugs, illicit trafficking

JAMMU, June 22: Department of Commerce, Government SPMR College of Commerce Jammu today organized a poster and slogan competition on the topic “Say No to Drugs and Illicit Trafficking” to create awareness among students regarding the bad effects of drugs under the patronage of Dr. Surinder Kumar, Principal of the college.
In his address, Dr. Surinder said life is a precious gift, don’t waste it on drugs. He also added that the entire world is facing the menace of drug addiction which has a divesting impact on the addict individual, family and large section of society.
A total number of 32 students participated in slogan and Poster Making Competition adjudged by the Department of commerce. In poster making competition Arun Atri (Sem-6th) stood first, Anuradha Tak (sem-2nd) and Mohit (sem-4th ) shared the second prize and Kartik Sharma(sem-4th) bagged third prize. In slogan competition Samriti Mahajan (Sem-6th), Lovedeep kour (Sem-6th ), and Kush Mahajan (Sem-6 ) stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd. The whole programme was organised under the guidance of Pof. Barbara Koul HOD Commerce and all the members of the Department Prof. Shipra Gupta, Dr. Jagmeet Kour, Dr. Fayza Shreya Sharma, Sindhu Kotwal and Prof. Rajni Bala and other Faculty members were also present Prof. Ashu Manhas and Prof. Aphan Ali
