SPMR College organizes CLUJ Inter-Collegiate Volleyball tourney

JAMMU, Oct 18: The Cluster University of Jammu (CLUJ) Inter-Collegiate Volleyball Tournament was hosted by Govt. SPMR College of Commerce. The event saw spirited participation from three teams representing various colleges, with GGM Science College emerging as the winner and Govt. MAM College finishing as the runner-up. Star performers included Sudanshu from GGM Science College, Yaseen Malik from MAM College, and Nitin Singh Chib from SPMR College, all of whom showcased exceptional skill and sportsmanship.
The tournament’s inauguration was graced by Prof. (Dr.) Naveen Anand, Dean Academic Affairs, CLUJ, as the chief guest, while Dr. Vinod Bakshi, Director of Physical Education and Sports, CLUJ, served as the guest of honour. Other dignitaries in attendance included Prof. (Dr.) Ranvijay Singh, Controller of Examinations, CLUJ, Prof. (Dr.) Romesh Kumar Gupta, Principal of GGM Science College, and Prof. (Dr.) Rajinder Singh, Principal of Govt. SPMR College of Commerce.
Prof. (Dr.) Naveen Anand praised the participants and highlighted the numerous opportunities provided by CLUJ to enhance students’ academic and extracurricular experiences. He lauded SPMR College for successfully organizing the event.
Prof. (Dr.) Rajinder Singh, Principal Govt. SPMR College of Commerce, emphasized the importance of physical activity, particularly in today’s digital age. The tournament was efficiently coordinated by Ravi Kumar, Physical Director of the college. The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Prof. Pawan Gupta, Head of the Department of Commerce. Matches were officiated by Mulk Raj Sharma, Parvinder Singh, and Anil Kumar. The program was compered by Prof. Monika Mahajan, Head of the Department of Computer Applications.
