JAMMU, Nov 4: Basketball matches were organized by the Games and Sports unit of Co-curricular Committee of MIER College of Education at its B C Road Campus. The students of BEd and BEd Special Education Departments participated with great enthusiasm and commitment. Dr Renu Gupta, Director MIER, Dr Adit Gupta, Joint Director MIER along with the staff members and the students of the College witnessed the matches and encouraged the participants. The basketball matches were held for both boys’ and girls’ teams. In the boys competitions, team ‘White Warriors’ led by Manoj Kumar defeated team ‘Red Warriors’ led by Anil Kapoor to win the finals whereas in girls category Team ‘Red Roses’ led by Nancy Gill took over team ‘White Lotus’ captained by Deepti Sharma to win the gold medal. Dr Renu Gupta motivated the participants and appreciated their zeal and eagerness towards sports and games which will prove to be an asset to their personality and career.
