poonch, Dec 17: Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council Premier League in disciplines of Hockey, Volleyball and Football got underway at Sports Stadium, here today.
In first match of the Hockey, the BBSB Hockey Club defeated Power House Club by 4-0 goals wherein Gurdev scored two goals and Matinder and Gunpreet netted one goal each, whereas in another match, Sham Lal Hockey Club beat Bhagat Singh Club wherein Simranjeet scored one goal for Bhagat Singh Club while for Sham Lal Hockey Club Pawan, Shobit, Mukesh, Navjot netted one goal each.
In Football, the first match was played between City FC and Khalsa FC wherein Khalsa FC won the match by 9-0 goals, whereas, 2nd match was played between Jullas FC and Surankote FC wherein Surankote FC won the match by 2-0 goals.
In Volleyball, Pinto Club defeated Knight Rider Mendhar by 3-2 sets, whereas Knight Riders Club trounced Star Club by 3-1 sets, Pinto Club beat Star Club by 3-1 sets and Pinto Club defeated Chandak Club by 3-1 sets.
Narjeet Singh, veteran Hockey player and Retd ZPEO was the chief guest of the Hockey matches whereas Ravinder Singh, Tanveer Dar and many others also graced the function. The League was organised under the supervision of Nirdosh Kumar, I/C Manager Sports Stadium Poonch.
Narinder Singh, Vikas Sharma, Rajinder Singh Toofan, Harmik Singh and Ranveet Singh were among the technical panel for Hockey matches, whereas Hockey matches were officiated by Neeraj Sharma VFI referee, Abdul Majid Dar PEM, Narinder Singh PEM, Sourav Sharma PEM, Bal Krishna, DK Raina PET and Ramparkash Ground In-charge and technical panel for Football matches were Rajinder Singh PEM, Tarlochan Singh PET, Mohinder Bali, Kewal Krishan and Bhopinder Singh.
