Srinagar, Oct 1: GOC Bipen Rawat inaugurated a Sports Festival at Prof Showkat Ali Stadium Baramulla, near here today.
The Festival is organized by Range Police headed by Deputy Inspector General of police, North Kashmir Range, Rajesh Kumar.
Youth from Baramulla Range will compete in T-20 Cricket, Kabaddi, Football, Carom and Chess in the Sports Festival.
The GOC while inaugurating the event threw light on the importance of such games stating that the games are necessary for physical and mental development of everybody particularly for youth which create discipline among the masses.
The inaugural function was attended by an over whelming crowd mainly students, besides, the sports personalities of the District including Manager Sports Council Baramulla and District Youth Service and Sports Officers, Baramulla.
