New Delhi, May 24: Sports Ministry today granted Rs 309.56 lakh to Mary Kom Regional Boxing Foundation, Imphal for construction of Gymnasium Hall and procurement of Gym equipment for the Foundation from the National Sports Development Fund (NSDF).
The Foundation proposes to set up the facilities at the new site allotted by the State Government of Manipur.
The grant will be released in instalments after fulfillment of certain conditions as required under the NSDF scheme and completion of necessary formalities.
Earlier, NSDF had released an amount of Rs 492.00 lakh to the Usha School of Athletics, Kozhikode, Kerala, for laying an eight-Lane Synthetic Track of international standard with supporting facilities. (UNI)
