POONCH, Dec 4: Satish Sharma, Minister for Youth Services and Sports, felicitated Sukriti Sharma, a Taekwondo player from Poonch Taekwondo Academy, for winning a Bronze medal at the recently concluded Sub Junior National Taekwondo Championship.
The championship was organized by the Haryana State Taekwondo Association under the aegis of the Taekwondo Federation of India, held at Panchkula, Haryana.
The Minister extended his best wishes to Sukriti for her achievement and presented her with a cash award. He also assured the establishment of a Taekwondo academy in Poonch and praised the efforts of Rajinder Singh, a Taekwondo coach from the Department of Youth Services and Sports, for producing national medalists from the border district.
The players were accompanied by Priyanka Singh, President of the District Poonch Taekwondo Association, Nitan Sharma, Wushu Coach, and Rajinder Singh. Priyanka Singh expressed gratitude to the Minister for his encouragement and support of the players.
