*BCC beats PCJ in NBF T20 Friendship Cup

JAMMU, Nov 8: Bhatia Cricket Club (BCC) Bishnah trounced Press Club Jammu (PCJ) by 6 wickets in Nirbhay Bharat Foundation (NBF) T20 Friendship Cup played at Science College Ground, here today.
Batting first, PCJ made 125 runs by losing 9 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Dinesh Mahajan scored 31 runs while Deepak Khajuria, Rupesh Raj and Naveen Kaul contributed 21, 13 and 17 runs respectively. For BBC, Vikas took 3 wickets whereas Patel and Jassi bagged 1 wicket each.
In reply, the BBC chased the target in 18th over. Vikas made 46 runs while Govind and Vicky scored 23 and 19 runs respectively. Shallu clinched 2 wickets while Dhruv and Naveen bagged 1 wicket each for Press Club Jammu.
Man of the Match was awarded to Vikas Sharma for his outstanding performance with bat and ball.
The today’s match was inaugurated by Tarun Uppal as chief guest while Vinod Khajuria, District President JKCA and Zorawar Singh Jamwal, Chairman Team Jammu were the guests of honour and Mukesh Sharma and Sunal Kakkar was the special guest.
The chief guest said that the main aim of organizing this cricket match is to nourish the sports talent and development of team spirit among the youth. He exhorted upon the youth to take part in other sports activities.
Zorawar Singh Zamwal also urged the people to push their wards for the outdoor activities in order to achieve their wholesome development.
Later, the guests greeted the winning team by awarding them.
