Jammu, Apr 18: Sports Week under the theme ‘Jazba’-the face of youth got underway at Trikuta College of Computer Sciences and Management Studies, here today.
The Sports Week began with the lighting of the traditional lamp by the chairperson of Sri Sain Charitable Trust, Suman Sharma.
After declaring the event open, Mrs Sharma threw light on the importance of sports in students’ life.
The event started with a cricket match, organized by TCCS & MS, under the supervision of Coordinator, Ankush Sharma which was played between Degree Daredevils and Ayurveda Super Kings. The match was won by Degree Daredevils by 81 runs .
Tug of War series was also played out of which Jammu Institute of Ayurveda and Research was declared as winner.
The sports events which will be played during the Week include Carrom, Cricket, Chess, Table Tennis, Kho-Kho, Tug of War, Sac Races and Lemon Race etc.
