JAMMU, Feb 9: Encouraged by good performance of state climbers in the North Zone as well as National Sport Climbing Championship held at Kolkata, the Sprawling Buds School, Chinore, Bantalab, Jammu renewed its commitment of promoting sport climbing in J&K and to support Mountaineering Association of J&K to win the North Zone Sport Climbing Championship this year by sponsoring a month long coaching camp for state climbers.
The 30 days coaching camp was inaugurated today by Principal of the School, Puja Sharma in the presence of Arti Sharma, Rahul Sharma and Ramesh Khajuria, Directors of the School; Ram Khajuria and Shawetica Khajuria, general secretary and joint secretary of Mountaineering Association of J&K respectively, Sonam Sidharth, joint secretary of Tawi Trekkers J&K and Satish Bhan.
While lauding the incredible achievement of the climbers in the National Competition at Kolkata, Puja Sharma assured the trainees that the school would provide every possible training facility to the State climbers so that they are able to perform to their full potential in the forthcoming competitions and bring laurels to the State.
A latest climbing facility in the shape of an international standard Finger Board has also been installed in the school premises, she announced and hoped that the Finger Board with various types of grips will prove to be quite beneficial to the trainees.
Secretary Mountaineering Association of J&K, Ram Khajuria thanked the management of the Sprawling Buds School for the timely sponsorship and assured the school management that with their continued liberal support, the Mountaineering Association of J&K would definitely achieve the aim of winning North Zone Sport Climbing Championship this year.
