JAMMU, Dec 6: Spring Dales School Barnai celebrated its 10th Annual Day at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu amidst great splendour, mirth and zest, here today.
The theme “Celebrating 75 years of Independence” was immaculately woven into a kaleidoscopic tapestry with the threads of diligence, determination of the students and staff culminating into a grand spectacle. The chief guest on the occasion was Iftikhar Hussain Chauhan, Director Finance J&K School Education Department.
The programme commenced with the welcome of the guests followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest who was accompanied by the Director, Principal and other eminent dignitaries.
Thereafter, Principal, Archna Jandev Manhas welcomed the eminent guests and the gathering and shared the School’s achievements through the annual report of the past session.
A series of cultural programs from post independence to present day enriched with the effervescence from agricultural to feet tapping dances, mellifluous renditions, side splitting play, era of movies, mime act, the dribbling moves of Yoga asanas etc were staged before the audiences.
The chief guest complimented the efforts of the staff and the students for putting up such a stupendous show. The vote of thanks was rendered by the Director, Gaurav Malhotra.
The programme concluded with the National Anthem.
