JAMMU, Nov 27: MV International School, Jammu bagged third place in the quiz competition organized by Government Woman College, Gandhi Nagar, here today.
The first position was bagged by SRML Higher Secondary School Jammu, while the second position went to St Xavier International School Jammu.
The students drawn from seven Higher Secondary Schools of Jammu participated in the event, in which Harpreet Singh, an IIM Alumni and Executive Director Educomp Raffles was the chief guest, while Mr Akash was the Quiz Master. The competition was organised by Educomp Raffles Higher Education.
MV International School was represented by Preeti and Archana, both students of class XIIth.
Meanwhile, the Director, Gourav Abrol and the Principal BN Sarkar of MV International School congratulated the participating students for bringing laurels to the school.
Meanwhile, 543rd birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev was celebrated in the premises of MV International School today on with great fervour.
Various students from different classes spoke about the life of Guru Nanak and his message.
Speaking on the occasion, Harbans Singh, Academic Advisor exhorted the students to follow the Guru’s message of Universal brotherhood and oneness of humanity. Stressing on the need to inculcate the spirit of cooperation and honest living, he wanted the students to work for the establishment of classless society as per the teachings of the Guru.
