SRTC workers’ body projects demands before Ramzan

JAMMU, Sept 28:  All J&K SRTC Employees Association (Bus Stand, Jammu)  has strongly taken up the issues of the employees and workers of the Corporation with the Minister for Transport and CAPD Ch Ramzan and Managing Director J S Tandon.
Talking to media persons here today, Amrik Singh Sasan vice president National Transport and Workers Federation and Pawan Sharma general secretary of the body, said that during meeting with the minister  and the Managing Director of  the SRTC, several issues of  the Corporation workers were discussed in detail. Senior leaders of the organisation  Mehraj Din from Srinagar  and Raja Munir Ahmed from Jammu were also present.
The issues regarding increase in DA of SRTC employees, enhancement of trip money and night-halt allowances of drivers and conductors of buses & trucks were  discussed in detail.
The minister during the meeting also gave assurance that ad hoc and contractual employees who have completed 8 years of service will be brought on regular establishment and the issue of SRO 43 will be discussed in the Board meeting  and favourable action will be taken.
The other issues include increasing   ceiling limit of gratuity  from two and half lakhs to 10 lakhs, pending COLA slabs from 1999, release of pending 6th Pay Commission arrears  and upgradation of  SRTC depots besides conduct of DPC.
